If you are between 6 to 18 years of age and are interested in developing your creativity, come out to the Arts and Culture Workshops where you will have an opportunity to paint, play music and learn about the basic camera controls (point and shoot as well as DSLRs). The Aga Khan Economic Planning Board for Ontario and The Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board for Ontario are pleased to present Ismaili Entrepreneurship Camp. This three-day camp will provide Jamati members 18 to 25 years of age the opportunity to learn how to nurture their ideas and passions into successful entrepreneurial ventures that create worldly change and build wealth with advice and insights provided by successful entrepreneurs and established business leaders.

Guest speakers include Kevin O'Leary (Dragon's Den), Nadir Mohamed (President and CEO, Rogers Communications Inc.), Reza Satchu (Co-founder of The Next 36 and Managing Partner, Guildwood Capital Management) and others. Participants can expect to learn:

  1. How to nurture ideas and passion into a successful entrepreneurial venture
  2. The DNA of an entrepreneur
  3. The art of storytelling and selling your business idea
  4. How to bring a product/service to market and win
  5. How to manage business through turbulent times

Proposals for a two-hour theatrical production

The Arts & Culture portfolio of the Council for Canada and ITREB Canada are seeking proposals from writers for a two-hour theatrical production inspired by our faith. The production will be staged in selected regions in the summer of 2011. Proposals are invited for any artistic stage genre that is inspired by or draws upon our faith in a creative way. The proposals should include a story treatment and artist's biography. Deadline for submission is Sunday, February 6, 2011.
